Single sign-on means subscribers only have to enter their credentials once to unlock similarly compatible third-party apps. Previously those channel apps had to be unlocked one-by-one, particularly cumbersome when using the Siri Remote. Wd backup mac software.

I own both a 3rd and 4th gen Apple TV, and recently subscribed to the DirecTV Now app in anticipation of 'cutting the cord' and go to streaming TV only. I got the app installed on my 4th gen and love it (I actually got the 4th gen free by prepaying for 3 months of DirecTV Now for $105, which was $35/month x 3 months in advance). However, I can't download the app to my 3rd gen. Is there any viable option to get it on my 3rd gen? If I have already downloaded DirecTV Now to my other apple devices via iTunes store, can I not select it from previous purchases and install? Could I get a developers account and add the DirecTV Now app as a developer? Or is my 3rd gen already THAT obsolete?
